One of the best ways to learn about geology is to experience it! That is why we encourage everyone to apply to visit Death Valley National Park in California! You will see many exciting rock types and geologic structures not present in Iowa while also acquiring hands-on experience learning how these features form. GEOL 4060/5060 is a 2-credit field course that will meet in the second half of the Fall 2024 semester and culminate in a one-week trip to Death Valley in January 2025.
