Nathan Coon successfully defended his master’s thesis titled, “‘Quantifying the invisible’: Using photoelasticity to quantify 3D force distributions in granular systems.” Nathan is building on several previous students who conducted similar photoelastic experiments, but he has created a new method for 3D analyses that has never been done before. This new method helps pave the way for many exciting 3D experiments that future students can continue to conduct. Thanks for everything! We look forward to hearing about all that you accomplish!
