Olivia Marcelli defended her Master’s Thesis titled, “The combined effect of cementation and a fluid phase on force distribution within granular media.” Shae McLafferty also defended her Master’s Thesis titled, “The impact of brittle clast failure within a viscous matrix on deformation dynamics: A 3D experimental approach.” Both Olivia and Shae have continued laying out the groundwork for future generations of students and experiments within the Structure Lab.
