Kyle Bogatz recently defended his Master’s Thesis titled, “Deformation of brittle clasts within a viscous matrix: field and experimental observations.” Kyle leaves us after many years, first as an undergraduate researcher and followed that up with his Master’s work. Kyle’s project combined field work at the Papoose Flat Pluton in California and some preliminary lab work. His work will provide the bedrock for future structure lab experiments using our rotary shear apparatus. Thanks a lot, Kyle, we look forward to hearing about all that you accomplish.
